  The Laibach VOLK DVD marks the end of the extensive tour based on their acclaimed album VOLK a collection of interpretations of national anthems and includes the national anthem for NSK the State in time without territory and national boundaries which Laibach have been linked with since its formation in 1992. Laibach are uncovering a common ground linking the nations a shared patriotic sentiment based around the bloody and violent foundations of nation which here can be heard in the lyrics and pomp of the largely hymnal tracks. By reinterpreting the music and translating the lyrics of each anthem the band have not only shown us this common ground they have also offered up a very pertinent comment on todays political situation and a warning for future generations. The DVD contains their concert in Trbovlje the industrial town associated with the birthplace of Laibach a multimedia event that toured all over Europe. As a bonus the DVD offers a collection of some of the most relevant screens that were projected during the show animated stories of soem of the most important songs. The Laibach music videos associated with VOLK are part of the content too.   The Specials (sometimes called The Special AKA) are an English 2 Tone ska revival band formed in 1977 in Coventry, England. Their music combined a danceable ska and rocksteady beat with punk's energy and attitude, and had a more focused and informed political and social stance than other ska groups.The group was formed by songwriter/keyboardist Jerry Dammers, with Terry Hall (vocals), Lynval Golding (guitar, vocals) and a rhythm section. The band wore mod-style '60s-period rude-boy outfits (porkpie hats, tonic and mohair suits, and loafers). In 1979, the song Too Much Too Young reached the number one spot in the UK. In 1981, the unemployment-themed single Ghost Town single also hit number one in the UK. Their music is featured in many film and television soundtracks.After seven consecutive UK Top 10 singles between 1979 and 1981, the band broke up. In 2008, it was announced that the band would reform and embark on a 30th anniversary tour in 2009.This concert was filmed at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall in front of an adoring crowd, the show was the biggest revival story of 2009 and the first time the band had been captured in concert for 28 years.   This Naxos Musical Journey travels straight to the heart of two of Mozart's most sublime compositions--the Piano Concertos Nos. 13 and 20--by showing the maestro's birthplace, Salzburg, in all its beauty and splendour. The performances by soloist Jeno Jando and Concentus Hungaricus led by conductor Andras Ligeti (taken from a Naxos audio CD), are most appealing, and the music is a wonderful accompaniment to the glorious footage of Salzburg and its environs. Highlights of this spectacular travelogue include the Mozart Museum; the composer's boyhood home; and, from the surrounding countryside, the Lake Weissensee resort and the ever-awesome Alps. Only a soundtrack of Mozart's music could be the equal of such stunning visuals.
