This release presents the entire fourth series, featuring Wheeltappers favourite 'unusualist' Paul Daniels, music from Gene Pitney, Joseph Locke, Ray Ellington, Julie Rogers and The Hermits, with comedy from Jim Bowen, Frank Carson, Dustin Gee, Jimmy Jones and The Grumbleweeds; the series also includes the 1975 New Year's Eve party special.

Although the 'club' was a humorously authentic studio mock-up this forgotten treasure of '70s light entertainment - building upon the highly successful live-audience format of The Comedians - brought the quickfire comedy musical variety and convivial atmosphere of a typical Clubland concert night to a national audience. Providing a showcase for several future household names Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club proved a ratings winner between 1974 and 1977; this third series was originally screened in 1975.
