  In a southern LA town of low-income homes and fractured families, a group of dispirited teens find themselves lured into working for a dangerous drug dealer to make ends meet. For high-schooler, Beaver, hopelessly ensnared within the community's inner drug-ring, the arrival of new girl in town, Kat Carter, is a welcome light in the darkness. As the pair grow closer, and Beaver's infatuation grows, Kat finds herself drawn into a terrifying new world of violence, tension and drug-abuse, all the whilst trying to balance newfound friendships with a dark and dangerous personal secret. A secret which, in the wrong hands, could threaten the entire community, and dramatically change the lives of those around her forever.
