  Vijay Chowdhury village sarpanch lives with his wife Laxmi and brother Ravi. In the same village resides Milavat Ram with wife Chandralekha and daughter Lalita. He is a grocer who is known for his notorious work. He has a brother-in-law Pannalal who is always scheming and planning to take revenge with Vijay and Ravi. Ravi marries Lalita and both Laxmi and Lalita are pregnant at the same time. But at the time of delivery - Lalita gives birth to a stillborn child and Lalita's life is in a precarious condition. To save her life Vijay and Laxmi give away their child to her. One day this child falls sick and Lalita takes the child home to her parent's house and Ravi goes along with her. Taking advantage of this opportunity Milavat Ram attempts a partition of this house. Does he succeed?
