One Dog And His Man: H.G. is in big trouble; he's chewed up Patrick's slippers eaten Patrick's breakfast and worst of all he's chewed up Patrick's latest manuscript... It's Never Too Late: Patrick's Mother arrives unexpectedly as she's remembered that Karen has yet to be Christened and is determined to see to it that she is. Nobody's Indispensible: Nanny has received a marriage proposal but kindly refuses on account of who would look after Patrick and the girls... The Suitable Suitor: Patrick is concerned about the company his daughters are keeping. A Man About The House: Patrick is off to Switzerland for a writers convention. He's sometimes driven almost to distraction by their constant teasing and to him shockingly modern outlook on love sex and marriage. Helping Patrick keep Anna and Karen in order is the patient and much put-upon housekeeper Nanny but the real power in the household is the family's splendid St Bernard dog H.G. Wells.
