    Nandini (Aishwarya Rai) is the daughter of Pandit Darbar (Vikram Gokhale) renowed proponent of classical music living in the Rann of Kutch. Nandini has been brought up with more freedom and education than her siblings as she is the most beloved of Pundit Darbar. Into the family comes Sameer (Salman Khan) a boy of Indo-Italian parentage. He is a music student and wants to grasp the essence of HIndustani music under the guidance of pUndit Darbar. During the course of his one year stay Sameer and Nandini fall in love. When their love is discovered Sameer is banished from the household. Meanwhile Nandini's parents have arranged to get her married. Nandini goes through the marriage with Vanraj (Ajay Devgan). He is deeply in love with her and all he asks is that in they maintain the charade of a happy couple for the sake of his family. They live in this deceit briefly until Sameer's letters reach Nandini and Vanraj discovers them. He then shows his true love and wisdom and takes Nandini to Hungary to search for Sameer. Nandini and Vanraj search for Sameer but always come up against a dead end. Soon the strain of the search shows on Nandini and she needs to be hospitalised. Vanraj selflessly devoets himself to caring for Nandini during her stay in the hospital. She sees her husband's adoration for her and wishes to drop the search and go back home.

    There's a hip new disc jockey at KDUL Superstation 66 and he's about to make rock and roll history. Dangerous Dan is newly employed at KDUL after a six month suspension by the FCC for a stunt he pulled while on the air. She becomes the butt of his jokes when she spots a UFO landing near the radio station and Dan is quick to laugh until the alien breaks into KDUL. The alien is Cosmo who has developed quite a taste for rock and roll and beautiful young women. By using the airwaves at the station Cosmo has found a new way to miniaturize and transport the people listening to the radio. His object is to collect a variety of women to take home to his planet and Dan O'Dare is the only witness! As hard as Dan tries to convince the listeners of what's happening it all backfires as it appears to be another one of his jokes. When Lisa gets miniaturized along with Cookie (Charlie Spradling) and two other women she finally believes Dan and they discover the one thing that will stop the alien DJ and make the airwaves safe again.

    East of Elephant Rock is a 1977 British independent drama film directed by Don Boyd and starring John Hurt, Jeremy Kemp and Judi Bowker. It was Boyd's second feature film following his little-noticed 1975 Intimate Reflections. Like William Somerset Maugham's 1927 play The Letter and two subsequent film adaptations, its narrative content depended on the 1911 Ethel Proudlock murder in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which became a cause clbre scandalising British colonial society and which had been featured in a Sunday Observer article as recently as the year before. Boyd, drawing in part on his own experience of growing up in an increasingly dysfunctional family in Kenya during the Mau Mau rebellion, wanted to tell a story about the decline of the Empire and the surrender of responsibility.
