It stars Bransby Williams as old Bill, a horse and cart driver and Tod Slaughter, a fairground medicine man. The council whom Bill works for are turning to motor transport to replace the horse and cart. Bill, unable to accept the change, buys his horse and sets off to seek work in the country. He encounters many folk that he helps along the way. A lovely gentle film with some unique shots of the horse and rider through London. A great social document of a bygone age, with picture and sound of excellent quality following extensive restoration.
