Spanglish: A comedy with a language all its own! A woman and her daughter emigrate from Mexico for a new life in America; they end up working for John Clasky (Sandler) who's trying to come to terms with sudden success as a celebrity chef an overly sensitive wife (Tea Leoni) emotional children and an increasing attraction to his new nanny... 50 First Dates: Henry Roth (Sandler) the local marina veterinarian only dates tourists because he's afraid of commitment - that is until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). Unfortunately Lucy lost her short-term memory months ago in... a car accident and for her each day is October the 13th. She follows the same routine every day - breakfast at the same restaurant pineapple-picking with her dad and eventually bed time where sleep wipes away her short-term memory. Henry however refuses to be forgotten and as his puppy love matures he embarks on a quest to restore her memory or at least be a part of her everyday routine. But vying for Lucy's attention isn't always easy. Henry explores various approaches before making a video for Lucy to watch every morning reminding her of who she is and what she's doing... Punch drunk Love: Barry Egan (Sandler) a lonely small businessman calls a phone sex line one night only to find himself the victim of an extortion scheme the next day; the very same day on which he goes out on a date with the woman who may be the love of his life! Triple pack of romantic comedies. In '50 First Dates' (2004), Drew Barrymore stars as Lucy Whitmore, a beautiful woman suffering from acute short-term memory loss. After a car accident several months before, she has been left with a rare brain condition that causes her memory to be totally erased every night when she goes to sleep. Adam Sandler plays Henry Roth, a vet who works at the aquarium in the Hawaiian resort where Lucy is living a quiet life with her over-protective father (Blake Clark) and goofy brother (Sean Astin). Henry usually spends his summers seducing a string of female tourists that he'll never see again - but when he meets Lucy he realises he's found something special, and resolves to give up his promiscuous, non-commital lifestyle. The only problem is, when he meets her again the next day, she hasn't got a clue who he is. In 'Punch-Drunk Love' (2002), Barry Egan ( Adam Sandler) is a socially isolated Californian businessman who runs a wholesaling business in the San Fernando Valley. When he meets businesswoman Lena Leonard (Emily Watson) it seems that there might be a chance for romance between them. Lena is certainly eager, and she pushes Barry to come out on a date with her, but the course of true love is unlikely to run smooth, especially when it has to contend with Barry's occasional bouts of destructive rage and his accidental involvement in a phone sex racket run by petty Utah gangster Dean Trumbell (Philip Seymour Hoffman). In 'Spanglish' (2004), a beautiful native Mexican woman Flor (Paz Vega), the mother of an equally stunning 12-year-old, becomes the housekeeper for an affluent Los Angeles family (Adam Sandler, Tea Leoni and Anne Bancroft). Of all the horrifying pitfalls she worried about in this new culture, Flor had never fathomed the peril of being truly embraced by an upscale American family.
