All twelve episodes from Alwyn Crawshaw's classic Channel 4 series 'A Brush with Art', shot entirely on location in Devon and the West Country. In the first three episodes Alwyn shows you how to get started while visiting Topsham Harbour, Hay Tor and Hound Tor. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 focus on papers, composition and pencil and wash, and feature visits to Dawlish Warren, Harpford and Shaldon. Episodes 7, 8 and 9 visit Polperro and Exeter Quay and include material on pen and wash, still life and the techniques used in capturing water and trees. The final three episodes see Alwyn visit Paignton Zoo, Ide and Brixham Harbour while he explores techniques used in rendering animals, cottages, buildings, windows, skies, boats and reflections.
