The travels around Britain of the late great Sir John Betjeman OBE and Poet Laureate. This DVD features the programmes Betjeman's Britain and Betjeman's London. During an incredibly busy life as a working journalist Sir John Betjeman wrote either in poetry or prose about an immense number of locations and became so skilled at capturing their atmosphere that he is thought of as pre-eminently a poet of place. It is this aspect of his work that is richly emphasised in this release written and presented by Peter Gammond a lifelong admirer and collector of Betjeman.
