Seven years after capturing the heart of his co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is offered the chance of lifetime: to be in on the world’s first 24-hour global cable news network, GNN, in New York City. The newsman quickly rounds up his classic news team – sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell) – and heads to The Big Apple. Upon arriving, he is quickly challenged by his strong female boss, Linda Jackson (Meagan Good), Australian multi-millionaire network owner Kench Allenby (Josh Lawson) and a chiseled popular lead anchor, Jack Lime (James Marsden). Will Ferrell reprises his role as the self-obsessed news anchor in this sequel to the 2004 hit comedy 'Anchorman - The Legend of Ron Burgundy'. Accompanied by his former Channel 4 news team including Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and Champ Kind (David Koechner), Ron Burgundy (Ferrell) moves to New York City where he is introduced to the world of cable TV and 24-hour news coverage. But with his estranged wife Veronica (Christina Applegate) back in San Diego clocking up the ratings, Ron and the team will have to bring their A game to get back to the top...
