Rocco Mortelliti directs this Italian drama based on the novel by Andrea Camilleri. Set in 1890 in the small town of Vigata, two rival private investigators are both looking into the mysterious disappearance of Antonio Pato (Neri Marcore), an accountant who has not been seen since he performed the part of Judas in the town's amateur dramatics play. The cast also includes Alessandra Mortelliti, Flavio Bucci and Nino Frassica.
