Francois Ozon directs this fantasy drama based on a novel by Elizabeth Taylor. Romola Garai stars as Angel Deverell, a spoiled and precocious young woman in Edwardian England who dreams of becoming a successful romantic novelist. When she finds the fame and fortune she has always dreamed of, she discovers that the reality she has desired for so long is far removed from the paradise she hoped it would be, and she continues to colour the world around her with her vivid and melodramatic dreams.
