Barbie plays the role of Princess Rosella in BARBIE AS THE ISLAND PRINCESS, a musical adventure featuring nine new songs. After being shipwrecked on a deserted island as a little girl, Rosella is raised by Sagi the red panda, Azul the peacock, and Tika the elephant. When a handsome prince brings Rosella and her animal friends back to his kingdom, they uncover an evil plot to usurp the throne.

In this full-length musical, Barbie is called Rosella. She was shipwrecked as a little girl and grew up with a family of loving animals: Sagi, the red panda; Azul, the peacock and Tika, the baby elephant. After being discovered by Prince Antonio, Rosella and her animal friends journey with him to his castle, where they uncover a plot to take over his kingdom.
