Dorothy (Susan Lynch) has decided to leave her violent heroin-addict boyfriend and make a new start for herself in London, but just as she is about to leave she witnesses a vicious attack on a young woman, Petula (Rachel Weisz), and intervenes. However, in the ensuing struggle Petula's would-be assailant, Brian, is himself killed; leaving the women faced with a perplexing problem: how to get rid of his body? But then they come up with an idea - if they can fake Brian's kidnapping they might just be able to dispose of the body while also becoming very rich indeed.
