Birds of a Feather - The Complete ITV series 1 DVD

| DVD

It has been nearly 15 years since we last saw the fabulous Chigwell Three but their wit and charm has not diminished during that time. So where are the girls now? As the series begins we catch up with the ladies who are currently living separate lives. Tracey (Linda Robson) who is no longer with Darryl has recently divorced her money grabbing second husband and is living with her 17 yr. old pampered son Travis (Charlie Quirke) who has aspirations of becoming a barrister. Sharon (Pauline Quirke) meanwhile barely exists in a tiny flat/hovel which leaves a lot... to be desired spending her days working at Essex's leading 'everything's a pound' chain World of Quid. And Dorien (Lesley Joseph) what can we say? She is trying to maintain her caviar cougar lifestyle having written the best-selling erotic memoir '60 Shades of Green' under the alias Foxy Cohen. But with an impending court case Dorien finds herself needing a roof over her head. Against her better judgment Tracey offers Sharon and Dorien a place to stay. With an already full house her son Garth (Matt Willis) unexpectedly returns from Australia with a girlfriend and stepdaughter in tow. Join three generations of the family again - proof that for Sharon Tracey and Dorien Essex really is the only way. [show more]

  • Birds of a Feather - The Complete ITV series 1
    Mike Reed

The Return of the Hit sitcom Birds of a Feather was brought on television early 2014. ITV isnt the main distributor of sitcom however it worked well on Thursday nights.
This easy watching sitcom is a laugh a minute, with the three sisters who cant still argue but put up with each other for family sake.
Although some episodes were weak, the audiences were still tuning in to watch Tracey, Sharon and Dorien.
It is a joy to watch a sitcom that made a come back and work, many people didnt think it would still have its popularity as there has been many sitcoms that have taken off, however Birds of Feather shows it can still work. it will be interesting to see what happens next.

Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph return after 15 years for a new series of the British sitcom. Sisters Sharon (Quirke) and Tracey (Robson) reunite in Chigwell at a signing for new book 'Sixty Shades of Green' and, much to their surprise, the author turns out to be Dorien (Joseph). Divorced for the second time, Tracey is working in telesales. Her older son Garth (Matt Willis) lives in Australia while her younger son still lives with her. Sharon, meanwhile, decides to leave her job at World of Quid to work for Dorien. Following a court case, Dorien finds herself without an income and both she and Sharon move in with Tracey. When Garth and his family arrive from Australia the house is full to the brim and funds are low. Everyone will have to find a way to pitch in to pay the bills. The episodes are: 'Gimme Shelter', 'Slave', 'Hot Stuff', 'Hearts for Sale', 'Tattoo You', 'Blinded By Love', 'Back to Zero' and 'Feathers of a Bird'.
