American drama starring Kevin Costner and Octavia Spencer. After his wife is killed in a car accident, Elliot Anderson (Costner) finds himself caring for his young granddaughter Eloise (Jillian Estell) alone. He must then take on a bitter custody battle after her paternal grandmother (Spencer) and father (André Holland) fight for custody of Eloise with the help of family lawyer Jeremiah (Anthony Mackie). With racial divides splitting her family, Eloise is torn between her love for both sides.
