Sam Shepard stars in this Western as a middle-aged Butch Cassidy. Nearly 20 years on from the infamous standoff in which he and the Sundance Kid supposedly died, an ageing Butch Cassidy (Sam Shepard), now known as Blackthorn, is living a quiet life in Bolivia, keeping his head down and earning his way by breeding horses.
