Broadcaster Alistair Cooke narrates this World War Two documentary detailing the defence of Britain over the course of a year from 10th May 1940 to 10th May 1941. Based on original and dramatic film taken from both British and German sources, the film includes air-to-air footage of dogfights during the Battle of Britain and images of British cities enduring the Blitz.
