The first eight episodes from the anime series based on the role playing video game. In the distant past, the powers of Light and Darkness fought a titanic battle. On the side of Darkness, the power of the Shadow held the greatest sway, but during the battle it was defeated and banished by the Seven Soldiers of Light. Now, the power has returned in the shape of the evil ruler Nene, who hopes to conquer the world by combining the force of the Shadow with huge destructive machines. Earth's only hope rests with a young female warrior named Zola and her apprentice Jiro, who together strike out to rid the world of Nene's terrifying army.
