| DVD

Bran Nue Dae a charming new music-driven road movie and romantic comedy starring Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush (The King's Speech) that literally bursts onto the screen with unbridled energy and fun. Loosely based on one of Australia's most beloved and popular musicals Bran Nue Dae is a foot stomping tour-de-force centering on the romantic adventures of a young aboriginal couple set against the spectacularly beautiful Australia. Willie (Rocky McKenzie) falls foul of Father Benedictus (Rush) his school's iron-willed headmaster and runs away. Stranded in Perth Willie... is befriended by Uncle Tadpole (Ernie Dingo) a streetwise character who offers to help Willie get back home and they hit the highway catching rides with a handful of colourful strangers while Father Benedictus is in hot pursuit. Australian musical comedy drama starring Geoffrey Rush and Missy Higgins in her acting debut. Willie (Rocky McKenzie) escapes from boarding school where he is being educated for priesthood, and begins a road trip back to his hometown, Broone, along with 'Uncle' Tadpole (Ernie Dingo) and two hippies, Slippery (Tom Budge) and Annie (Higgins). Realising Willie's potential, boarding school master Father Benedictus (Rush) goes after him. As each character's journey progresses, it becomes apparent that they are more closely connected to one another than they first thought.
