Documentary which looks at the life of Buck Brannaman, a horse trainer whose skill in his field inspired the popular book and film, 'The Horse Whisperer'. Buck's early years were fraught - he was the victim of child abuse - but through developing his natural affinity for horses he has been able to overcome his demons and build a successful career. The film follows Buck as he travels around the country attempting to pass on his knowledge of horses and finds time to reflect on his life to date. Robert Redford, to whom Buck acted as a technical advisor on 'The Horse Whisperer', also makes a cameo appearance.
