| DVD

Fun With Dick And Jane: Dick (Jim Carrey) and Jane (Tea Leoni) are a typical suburban couple. They have a nice house in a development she works as a travel agent to supplement his white-collar income. Things change in the blink of an eye when Dick's company folds; his pension has no future and he can't find a job to save his life. Their front lawn is even repossessed! To make matters worse Jane has quit her job their house has lost value and all their savings went down along with his former employers. In increasingly dire straits Dick has a brainstorm: he'll steal... to supplant his income. Jane joins him and soon the dynamic duo is dressing in elaborate costumes and ineptly attempting to make it big on the wrong side of the law! Liar Liar: In this uproarious hit from the director and producers of the Nutty Professor comic genius Jim Carrey stars as a fast talking attorney and habitual liar who forced by his son's birthday wish must tell the truth for the next 24 hours. Co-starring Jennifer Tilly Swoosie Kurtz and Amanda Donohoe Siskel & Egbert give 'Liar Liar' Two thumbs up! Cable Guy: The manic madness of Jim Carrey strikes again in this totally wired out of control comedy! Slip the cable guy fifty bucks and you'll get the movie channels for free - it's a time honoured urban ritual. But when Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick) moves into his new apartment he picks the wrong cable guy - this guy doesn't want fifty bucks; he just wants a friend for life. And he won't take no for an answer. [show more]

Box set containing three popular Jim Carrey comedies. In 'Fun With Dick and Jane' (2005), Dick Harper's (Carrey) years of hard work finally pay off when he is promoted to vice president at Globodyne, a worldwide leader in the consolidation of media properties. But after exactly one day in his new job, Globodyne is destroyed by an Enron-like calamity - and he is left holding the bag. Dick's sudden reversal of fortune has left him little time to set money aside for a rainy day. Now it's raining buckets as Dick and his loving wife Jane (Tea Leoni) watch in horror as their deluxe home, their luxury cars and their status-conscious friends quickly vanish into thin air. After playing by the rules and working single-mindedly to build a comfortable life for his family, Dick is utterly unprepared to give up the American dream. Taking a lesson from his current employer, however, Dick hits on a brilliant idea: if stealing was good enough for his boss, then it's good enough for him. In 'Liar Liar' (1997), fast-talking lawyer and habitual liar Fletcher Reede (Carrey) is constantly coming up with excuses for not visiting his four-year-old son Max (Justin Cooper) who lives with Fletcher's ex-wife Audrey (Maura Tierney). When Fletcher misses Max's fifth birthday party, Max makes a wish that his dad will stop lying for a whole day. The wish is immediately put into practice, and Fletcher thus finds himself becoming disturbingly honest with his boss (immediately after having sex), his colleagues, and worst of all, in court. Finally, in 'The Cable Guy' (1996), Steven Kovacks (Matthew Broderick) is undergoing a trial separation from his girlfriend Robin and has just moved into a new apartment. He is so lonely he bribes the cable TV guy Chip (Carrey) to give him all the movie channels for free. Chip takes this as a sign that he has made a friend for life, but when Steven attempts to distance himself from Chip's manic overtures, the relationship takes a sour turn.
