Laura Portmann (Anna-Katharina Schwabroh), a young doctor onboard one of these space stations, hopes to find salvation on the far off planet, Rhea. In order to save money she gets a job on the cargo ship Kassandra which is headed on an eight-year return flight to Space Station 42.
