Although the BBC had broadcast a Charlton match live from The Valley as early as 1947 it wasn't until growth of colour television in the 1970s that recorded coverage became relatively commonplace largely due to ITV's The Big Match. These programmes now provide a valuable insight into the Addick's fortunes in the closing decades of the 20th century and some years ago the more memorable matches were compiled into 3 VHS compilations that each encapsulated an era. Now for the first time the 70s 80s and 90s productions are brought together in this 2 DVD package so that... the memories can be enjoyed again on the higher quality format. From Theo Foley to Alan Curbishley Derek Hales to Clive Mendonca Keith Peacock to Mark Kinsella and Graham Tutt to Dean Kiely Telly Addicks revisits 30 years of the Charlton story. Legendary commentator Brian Moore describes much of the action while Jim Rosenthal leads the way down Memory Lane London SE7... not to mention SE25. [show more]
