This film has three main sections: Firstly; we are taken on a 'guided tour' of the hospital site - charting its growth in buildings and services from its days as the Stoke-0n-Trent Workhouse to the busy highly equipped hospital it is today. Then we hear some comments from many hospital staff - past and present - of how things have changed from their points of view over the past 50 years together with some personal stories and anecdotes. Finally we look at some other aspects of present-day working like in ""The City"". It's a hospital rich in character and history.
