Katrin Cartlidge stars in the title role of this feature drama as a young Irish woman working in Manhattan as a high-class prostitute in order to pay off an outstanding debt to pimp Roland Cain (Colm Meaney). Following the death of her mother, Claire makes an attempt to escape this loveless existence and rebuild her life, moving out of the city and going on a few dates with taxi driver Elton Garrett (Vincent D'Onofrio) with a view to eventually becoming a wife and mother. But her past rears its ugly head when Cain tracks her down and insists on payment.
