Peter Falk stars as the shabby, mac-wearing detective in three feature-length investigations. In the first ever episode, 'Prescription Murder', psychiatrist Roy Fleming becomes Columbo's prime suspect following the death of Fleming's wife. 'Fade in to Murder' sees demanding movie star Ward Fowler (William Shatner) resorting to murder when he is threatened with a dark secret from his past. In 'Double Shock', feuding twin brothers Dexter and Norman Paris (both played by Martin Landau) are perturbed when their wealthy uncle announces his intention to marry again - to a much younger woman - believing that they will be written out of his will.
