Bill Forsyth (`Gregory's Girl', `Local Hero') directed this comic thriller, which begins when Glasgow DJ Alan (Bill Paterson), already frustrated by the sickly-sweet constraints of his radio show, loses his girlfriend. His life acquires new meaning when he finds himself mediating between ice-cream gangsters Mr Bunny and Mr McCool. With C.P. Grogan, Patrick Malahide, and Eleanor David. Music by Mark Knopfler.
