Peter Landesman writes and directs this thrilling drama based on real events in the life of Dr. Bennet Omalu. When he hears the news of the sudden death of former American footballer Mike Webster (David Morse), Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith) takes it upon himself to investigate the cause. After studying Webster's brain scans, Omalu discovers that the footballer had suffered multiple repetitive head traumas over the years which had left him with severe brain damage. As he tries to get his superiors at the hospital and the National Football League to understand the dangers of head traumas in football, he finds he has a fight on his hands when the NFL reveal they have known the risks all along.
