The sinister history of an old manor house is brought to life in three spine-tingling, darkly comic ghost stories from the pen of Mark Gatiss ('The League of Gentlemen'). Finding an old door knocker in his garden, schoolteacher Ben (Lee Ingleby) discovers from local museum curator (Gatiss) that it came from the now demolished Tudor house 'Geap Manor', a house with a ghostly heritage. Three stories from the house's dark past follow: 'The Wainscoting' tells a Georgian tale of one of the house's first owners, who ignores the warnings of his friends; 'Something Old' relates to the 1920s, where a wedding rekindles ghostly apparitions; and finally, in 'The Knocker', Ben himself discovers that although it may be demolished, Geap Manor's presence can still be felt.
