This episodic animated adventure from the Film Roman anime studio is adapted from the 14th-century classic tale by Dante Alighieri. Six different directors have produced the six segments in contrasting animation styles to create a dark vision of the Nine Circles of Hell: Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud and Treachery. The narrative follows Dante as he journeys through these stages of hell, visiting each of the nine circles of the Inferno in the hope of saving the spirit and soul of his true love Beatrice, who has been taken from him by the devil.
