Kevin Durand stars as a sheriff who must protect his town from an unknown evil in this creature feature. When a logging company starts work in the small, isolated town of Maiden Woods they unwittingly awaken a long dormant creature in the nearby forest. As the mysterious being starts enacting his evil will on the town, Sheriff Paul Shields (Durand) is forced to investigate as he also battles his own personal torment over the loss of his son. Could the town's local legend of a monster in the woods really be true?

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play.  Maiden Woods is a remote and quiet town of decent, hard-working people but something stirs in the dark woods surrounding this isolated community. After a logging company decimates an area of the forest, a rash of increasingly violent and unexplainable events transpires. Sheriff Paul Shields (Kevin Durand) and his deputy (Lukas Haas) struggle to confront their own personal demons while facing down a new breed of raw terror that is possibly older than humanity itself… and much, much hungrier.
