Sci-fi horror directed by Steve Sekely and starring Howard Keel, Nicole Maurey and Kieron Moore. Bill Masen (Keel) lies in his hospital bed, his eyes bandaged, listening to radio reports of a meteorite shower all over the world. The next day Masen finds he can see perfectly, but all witnesses to the previous night's shower have been blinded. The meteorites carried the spores of killer plants, the Triffids, who are now wandering the streets picking off their helpless victims.
