Newly divorced and in her final year of medical school, Marty Hiller finds herself drowning in the long hours of study and research. The last straw comes when her apartment is burglarised, her latest roommate moves out, and her ex-husband is relentlessly pushing to get back together again. Marty is also desperately searching for someone to help pay the rent. Her best friend Diana suggests she look for a male roommate.
