Jenny Seagrove and Kevin McNally star in this 1984 drama series written by Andrew Davies and R.F. Delderfield. Diana Gayelorde-Sutton (Seagrove) is the obnoxious daughter of a wealthy landowner who has unintentionally won the affections of country boy Jan Leigh (McNally). As Jan tries to better himself with the ultimate goal of winning the heart and hand of his love interest, Diana disregards the poor boy's feelings in order to follow her own dreams.
