Harry Barnes (Peter Halliday) returns home one afternoon to find his wife Barbara (Ingrid Haffner) out and a dead body lying in his bathroom. His first reaction is to call the police but he then realises that his wife must have killed the man in self defence. As his mind races and his next door neighbour keeps asking him questions he decides to dispose of the body beneath the living room floorboards. But Harry soon finds that disposing of a body when the police and neighbours are making enquiries is not an easy task.
