Harry Connick Jr, Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd star in this family drama sequel based on real events. The film continues the true story of Winter, a dolphin who was rescued by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and given a prosthetic tale, having lost her own following a crab trap accident. When her elderly dolphin friend Panama dies, Winter becomes depressed and her health rapidly declines. Dr. Clay (Connick Jr) is given one month by a USDA inspector to pair Winter with another female dolphin, to ensure her return to full health. With time running out, the CMA staff save a young female they name Hope. She may just be the perfect new companion for Winter but will the two animals bond?

Please note this is a region 2 DVD and will require a region 2 (Europe) or region Free DVD Player in order to play.  It has been several years since young Sawyer Nelson (Gamble) and the dedicated team at the Clearwater Marine Hospital, headed by Dr. Clay Haskett (Connick, Jr.), rescued Winter. With the help of Dr. Cameron McCarthy (Freeman), who developed a unique prosthetic tail for the injured dolphin, they were able to save her life. Yet their fight is not over. Winter's surrogate mother, the very elderly dolphin Panama, has passed away, leaving Winter without the only poolmate she has ever known. However, the loss of Panama may have even greater repercussions for Winter, who, according to USDA regulations, cannot be housed alone, as dolphins' social behavior requires them to be paired with other dolphins. Time is running out to find a companion for her before the team at Clearwater loses their beloved Winter to another aquarium.
