Jack Webb directs and stars in this American crime drama based on the 1950s TV series. The film follows LAPD homicide detectives Joe Friday and Frank Smith (Webb and Ben Alexander) as they investigate the murder of Miller Starkie, a bookkeeper who was shot dead with a sawn-off shotgun.
