Eduard Grecner writes and directs this Slovakian drama adaptation. Set during medieval times, reclusive potter Martin Lepis (Radovan Lukavský), who the villagers refer to as Dragon, returns to the mountain community that ousted him years before for a crime he maintains he did not commit. But his former fiancée Eva (Emília Vásáryová), her new husband Simon (Gustáv Valach) and the rest of the villagers are suspicious of Dragon's return despite his innocent motive to live his life in peace. When tragedy strikes the village its residents are forced to grudgingly work with Dragon as they battle to save their livelihood and he battles to win back their acceptance.
