Devon's incredible natural talent doesn't go unnoticed by the school's musical director, Dr Lee (Orlando Jones), but his streetwise and cocksure attitude start to get him into trouble. After a set-to with the drumline's disciplined captain, Sean (Leonard Roberts), Devon starts to learn that it takes more than talent to reach the top.
