George Marshall directs this 1950s British adventure in which an American insurance investigator sets out to learn the truth behind the disappearance of a diamond broker. Scott Walters (Dana Andrews) is in London on business when he hears that one of his firm's high-profile clients Perry Henderson (David Farrar) has died while diving for diamonds off the coast of Africa. Suspicious both by nature and professional obligation, Walters visits Perry's widow Marian (Jeanne Crain) in search of further information. Ultimately, the pair journey to Africa to continue the investigation, where matters become very murky and dangerous indeed...
