Comedy directed by Betsan Morris Evans and starring Luke Newberry, Genevieve Gaunt and Iain Glen. A young man sets about making the most of the summer after he leaves school in 1977 Yorkshire. Derek (Newberry), known to his friends as Dusty, returns home to a family which finds his academic success unusual. Dusty intends to be the first of his family to attend university but it is his brother who is the darling of the community, playing professional football with Leeds United. Dusty encounters a greyhound called Slapper who also subverts people's expectations of him and together they experience a very special summer.
