Turkish slice-of-life drama about a retired widower who takes in a prostitute despite the misgivings of his son. When German citizen, Ali (Tuncel Kurtiz), offers a low-rent room to local prostitute, Yeter (Nursel Kose), to ease his loneliness, his professor son, Nejat (Baki Davrak), thinks his father has gone too far. Soon, however, after learning that she sends the money she earns back home to Turkey to pay for her daughter's university studies, Nejat's initial disapproval of Yeter turns to acceptance, and finally fondness. When Yeter is accidentally killed, Nejat travels to Turkey to try to track down her activist daughter Ayten (Nurgul Yesilcay), unaware that she has already left for Germany, fleeing the Turkish authorities.
