Thriller following the chaos unleashed when a pair of identical twins, played by Matthew Modine, are reunited in unusual circumstances. Henry is a polite and reserved mechanic who helps out his neighbours and has a crush on his best friend's sister (Lara Flynn Boyle), while Freddy works for a gangster, believes himself to be something of a smooth operator and is married to the materialistic Sharon (Lori Singer). When a morgue employee, Sonya (Tyra Ferrell), discovers that the pair are the children of a European noble and may be due a large inheritance, she sets out to track them down.
