Double bill of live action feature films based on the anime in which two friends killed in an accident find themselves reborn as alien hunters. In 'Gantz' (2011) teenagers Masaryu Kato (Kenichi Matsuyama) and Kei Kurono (Kazunari Ninomiya) lose their lives while trying to save a man from being hit by a subway train. The pair subsequently awake in a mysterious apartment dominated by a black orb known as 'Gantz'. Unsure whether they are alive, dead or in another dimension altogether, they find themselves charged by Gantz with the duty of heading out into the world to seek and destroy aliens. 'Gantz 2 - Perfect Answer' (2011) finds Kei at the stage where his alien-hunting efforts have earned him close to the magical 100 points he requires to resurrect Kato and perhaps even save himself too. However, nothing is straightforward in the world of Gantz, and Kei and his friends, including Tae (Yuriko Yoshitaka), will have to be on guard if they are to finally win their freedom.
