The complete first three series of the drama based on the life of pioneering 18th century barrister William Garrow. Raised in an age of widespread corruption and injustice within the court system, Garrow (Andrew Buchan) popularised cross-examination and established the adversarial system of opposing lawyers for the prosecution and defence. Among the challenges faced by the lawyer in this fictionalised version of his life are attempts at regicide, industrial sabotage and election rigging. Meanwhile, his relationship with Lady Sarah Hill (Lyndsey Marshal) threatens to cause serious damage to his career and standing within society.
