Jane Preston writes and directs this documentary about English footballer Paul Gascoigne. Centred around an extensive interview with the man, the programme follows Gascoigne from his beginnings in Newcastle to his starring role in the 1990 World Cup in Italy. Following his success on the pitch, the programme also highlights Gascoigne's personal struggles off the field that often saw him appearing in the national tabloids and in trouble with the authorities. With archive footage and contributions from famous football minds including Gary Lineker, José Mourinho and Wayne Rooney, the documentary features highlights from across Gascoigne's stellar career for his clubs and country.
