Supernatural horror. In a bid to escape the city and her abusive boyfriend, Alyssa (Marina Resa) takes a job as a housekeeper at the remote desert home of two Chinese women, Miss Wu (Shirley To) and her Aunt Chen (Akiko Shima). The women, both devoutly religious, stay up all night performing strange ceremonies - but when Alyssa finds herself drawn into a terrifying world of vengeful apparitions, she realises too late that she has arrived in 'Ghost Month', when evil spirits return to roam the earth.
