Jenna is humiliated when she's locked in the closet for a game of 'Seven Minutes In Heaven' and everyone... deserts her. Alone in the closet Jenna makes an earnest wish. If only she could be all grown up she'd have the life she's always wanted... The next day when Jenna emerges from the closet it's 2004 and she's 30 years old. What's more she is a gorgeous successful woman with a great job and a fabulous Fifth Avenue apartment. She is finally cool and popular. The only hitch? She has absolutely no idea how she got there! Jenna learns that 'having it all' is not enough and decides to take a second chance at first love... 50 First Dates (2004): Henry Roth (Sandler) the local marina veterinarian only dates tourists because he's afraid of commitment - that is until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). Unfortunately Lucy lost her short-term memory months ago in a car accident and for her each day is October the 13th. She follows the same routine every day - breakfast at the same restaurant pineapple-picking with her dad and eventually bed time where sleep wipes away her short-term memory. Henry however refuses to be forgotten and as his puppy love matures he embarks on a quest to restore her memory or at least be a part of her everyday routine. But vying for Lucy's attention isn't always easy. Henry explores various approaches before making a video for Lucy to watch every morning reminding her of who she is and what she's doing... Collection of three romantic comedies. In '13 Going On 30' (2004), Jennifer Garner stars as Jenna Rink, who at the start of the film is a typical awkward adolescent, constantly dreaming of being popular and accepted as part of the in-crowd at school. During her 13th birthday party, she finds herself sitting alone and humiliated in a dark closet after being rejected during a teenage kissing game - and fervently wishes that there might be some way to avoid the trials and tribulations of the teenage years that stretch so cruelly and inevitably ahead of her. When she emerges, she gets the surprise of her life: she's popular, beautiful, successful - and days away from her 30th birthday. The only problem is, her mind has not matured to match her new womanly body, career or love-life. '50 First Dates' (2004) stars Drew Barrymore as Lucy Whitmore, a beautiful woman suffering from acute short-term memory loss. After a car accident several months before, she has been left with a rare brain condition that causes her memory to be totally erased every night when she goes to sleep. Adam Sandler plays Henry Roth, a vet who works at the aquarium in the Hawaiian resort where Lucy is living a quiet life with her over-protective father (Blake Clark) and goofy brother (Sean Astin). Henry usually spends his summers seducing a string of female tourists that he'll never see again - but when he meets Lucy he realises he's found something special, and resolves to give up his promiscuous, non-commital lifestyle. The only problem is, when he meets her again the next day, she hasn't got a clue who he is. Henry embarks on an elaborate quest to win her heart, with the help of his stoner best friend Ula (Rob Schneider). In 'Maid in Manhattan' (2002), Jennifer Lopez stars as Marisa Ventura, a single mother who works as a maid in one of New York's top hotels, but has aspirations to do better. Holding her back is her mother (Priscilla Lopez), who thinks she should accept who and what she is and leave it at that. However, after a case of mistaken identity Marisa finds herself being pursued by Chris Matthew (Ralph Fiennes) who is staying at the hotel and is running for the Senate, as a Republican. Egged on by her friends at the hotel (Bob Hoskins amongst them) and her son, Marisa decides to accept a date with the dashing bachelor but finds their paths are definitely not the same and she returns to her New York suburb, having lost her man and job. Will love conquer the social divide?
